Authoria

Methodology

Authoria connects advertisers (businesses) with publishers (media properties) through comparison guides. This page describes how content is produced and how paid inclusion is disclosed.

Ranking

Guides rank businesses by a blend of Google review rating and review coverage across Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, and 30+ additional platforms. Exact ranking weights vary by category.

Editorial variation

Each published guide may be rendered in multiple voices — the editorial voices of different publishers. The underlying facts, ranking, and evidence base are identical across voice variants; only the prose changes. Voices are disclosed on every page.

Sponsorship and disclosure

Some listings in a guide may be sponsored. Sponsorship covers inclusion in a guide, not ranking position or review content. Sponsored listings are marked visibly on every page they appear on.

Evidence

Every claim in a review is backed by at least one external source (editorial articles, business profile data, or review platforms). Source URLs are surfaced in each review.

Freshness

Business facts (address, hours, phone, rating) are refreshed from Google Places on a rolling basis. Photos are refreshed every 30 days per Google’s Places Photos API terms.
